I almost lost my mom today. It hurts that I can’t do more for her. Being bipolar isn’t easy and she is the only one who understands it and me. I love you mom. This beet is the beginning of a half-sleeve tribute to my favorite book, Jitterbug Perfume. I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, and my incredible artist has come up with a killer set of sketches to flesh this out, one piece at a time. I’ve already gotten a bunch of compliments on this one, so I wanted to share and give the girl some credit!
This beauty was done in Lafayette, LA at AAA Tattoo by the incredibly talented and professional Kelley Bayard. More pics to come as this gets fleshed out. Can’t wait to work with this artist again!

Dudeism is the religion based on the qualities of the main character in the Coen brothers cult classic The Big Lebowski. The “Dude”, Jeffrey Lebowski , a happy go lucky slacker with a distinct hippie vibe, played by Jeff Bridges, finds himself in the middle of a kidnapping mystery. In the end he is able to solve the mystery by letting go of his “uptight“ thinking, and finally abiding by the ups and downs of life. (via Dudeism, is that some sort of Eastern thing?)
